This is an interview I conducted while being an intern at ARA City Radio in Luxembourg.
Dirk Bockel is a Luxembourgish Ironman Athlete with top ten finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii and some outstanding results at ‘Ironman Regensburg 2012’ and many other international triathlon competitions.
Yesterday, Dirk Bockel raced at the 2012 Ironman World Championship in Kona where he finished 10th despite a serious hand injury. Well done Dirk! You made Luxembourg proud!
Listen to the interview for exclusive information on what it takes to be a professional athlete, how to cope with injury just days before a competition and so much more.
I have never met such a down-to-earth person who does his best not for himself but for his country. He has such a positive outlook. It’s very inspiring!
