Interview Matt Corby for ARA City Radio

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to interview Matt Corby, as part of my internship with ARA City Radio in Luxembourg.

Matt Corby is a very talented Australian singer and songwriter with an outstanding gravel-soaked voice. At 16, he was part of the Australian Idol where he progressed to the final and took the second place. Months later, he decided to move to London where he was signed with the indie label Communion by the label’s owner, Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons. Having independently released his debut extended play ‘Song for…’ in 2009, it was one year later that Corby’s second EP ‘My False’ was issued by Communion.

With four EPs released to date, the 21 year-old singer is now touring all across the world. Currently in the USA, Corby will soon be starting his European tour and it’s Luxembourg’s turn to see Matt Corby live on November 10.

Previously compared to Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley Matt Corby’s live shows are said to be captivating and engaging, therefore, his gig at the Rockhalcafe should be no different.
