Student recruitment platform hosts professional speed dating event

Luxembourg-based online recruitment platform Individuum.lu is hosting a professional ‘‘speed-dating” interview day for students and recent graduates.

Organised in collaboration with The Impactory, the ‘‘Meet-Network-Learn-Improve’’ event is designed to put the younger generation in direct contact with employers in and around Luxembourg.

On the day, participants can take part in a series of activities from speed-dating introductions to company representatives, to consulting an expert on how to improve their CV, participating in mock-interviews and posing questions to the event’s special guest speakers.

Get noticed by companies

A number of companies from a diverse array of industries, such as finance, legal, IT, recruitment and many more will be on hand at the event to meet young people and find the best talent amongst Luxembourg’s undergraduates and postgraduates.

During the event, a selection of companies will also host a stall where participants will have the chance to ask questions and familiarise themselves with each company’s profile and recruitment processes.

Following the speed-dating session, attendees will be able to hear the inspirational stories of three high-profile individuals who have succeeded in business, education, entertainment and entrepreneurship.

High profile guest speakers

Event organisers have confirmed that highly acclaimed Luxembourg-born illusionist David Goldrake and Computer Science engineer, teacher and innovator Marc Teusch will be amongst those delivering speeches in front of students and graduates at the event.

Individuum’s Partner and CIO Michel Hoffmann and Impactory co-founder Per-Fredrik Hagermark explained that the event aimed to show aspiring graduates how they can forge a career in Luxembourg.

Michel Hoffmann said: ”The event is aimed at young people who are looking for the right opportunity to prove their skills and potential. We strongly encourage them to attend our event in September and benefit from the high level of experience of our experts, guest speakers and everyone else involved in the event.”

A relevant event for young aspiring entrepreneurs

Moreover, the event in September is also designed to attract those amongst the younger generation who aspire to become entrepreneurs.

”Speed-dating is all about giving students a chance to shine in front of potential employers. It’s great fun and to us it’s key to also introduce students to the possibilities of working in start-ups or even starting on your own,” said Per-Fredrik Hagermark, adding: “The aim is to make both companies and students aware of the Impactory and the values a co-working space with a strong community can add. We’re really looking forward to this event.”

Pre-registration necessary

Set to take place on September 12, the ‘‘Meet-Network-Learn-Improve’’ event is free of charge and is expected to unite around 70 students from various courses and fields of interest as well as local and Luxembourg-based ventures known for their commitment in hiring young talent.

The half-day event will take place from 3pm until 6.30pm at The Impactory premises on 29, Boulevard Grande-Duchesse Charlotte in the city-centre of Luxembourg.
